Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta is an Atlanta based spin-off of the original Love & Hip Hop series that is reported to premiere June 18, 2012 at 8/7c on VH1.[1] It is produced by Stefan Springman, Mona Scott-Young, Toby Barruad, Stephanie Gayle and Carlos King. The series is directed by David Wolfgang and Jade Sandberg.

The official cast listing was revealed May 2012 and the premiere episode debuted June 18, 2012 with a season of 10 hour long episodes.

Mimi Faust is the longtime girlfriend of music producer, Stevie J Once a mega successful producer in the hip hop community. Stevie J was on top of the world-having made millions, but mismanagement of his funds and misplaced trust, brought him to the brink of losing everything. Through it all Mimi stood by him and held the family down.

His infidelities have been a constant slap in her face but she keeps turning the other cheek. Now she has found out that Stevie has gotten too close to Joseline, a fiery Latina rapper and stripper he is managing and Mimi is finally ready to make him do right or move on.

Rasheeda, the hometown hero, is an Atlanta rapper who's been in the game for 14 years. She is managed by her husband, Kirk Frost, and for the first time in her career is openly embracing this relationship in the public. Rasheeda and Kirk are balancing their family life and work life with a focus on their personal relationship and her independent rap career.

Karlie Redd, a Trinidadian R&B singer & rapper, is ready for the big time. Rep'd by Cash Money Management, Karlie is in search of a producer to provide her with a big enough hit to land her a deal. Karlie is also a fluent actress. She was cast on the second season of VH1's Scream Queens in 2010 under a different name "Karlie Lewis."

Stevie J presents a new home to Mimi too far from Atlanta for her comfort. Does his studio sessions with Joseline involve more than just business? Scrappy tells Erica he isn't sure about their relationship. K.Michelle celebrates her birthday with Karlie, Mimi and Ariane, but the party becomes a war zone when Joseline and Stevie shows up together looking like a couple. Karlie mistakenly calls Joseline Steve J`s girl, but it quickly corrected by Mimi who is furious. Stevie and Mimi get into a argument and Joseline throws a drink at Stevie who throws one right back. Mimi is confused at why Stevie is with her, but in the end Stevie gets in the car with Joseline....only to be caught red handed.

Stevie tries to make up with Mimi, but she hits him right where it hurts -- his wallet. Joseline accuses Karlie of being a snitch and tells her she'll decide if and when Karlie can work with Stevie. Rasheeda and Kirk shoot a music video for her new single, but fight when Rasheeda arrives late to the shoot. Erica has a heart to heart with her mom about her relationship with Scrappy and their own painful past. Joseline takes a pregnancy test.
